cartel: a group of parties, factions, or nations united in a common cause; a bloc.

One of the major divisions in Canadian society at the moment is a result of where people look for their facts and analysis: social media and personal experience versus the media cartel. Those two groups have polar opposite interpretations of what is happening around them and what it means.

One of the many ironies to be explored here is that social media cannot simply be shut off in order to shut up the critical public. There are, thankfully, too many of us. And we are feeding the algorithms upon which the fourth industrial revolution depends. The architects of the Great Reset need the data that we are creating. They need everybody to have a smartphone and to use it all day long. Ironically, people across Canada are using their phones to undermine the intentions of the architects of the global restructuring.

We have been shut out of conversations on the Big-Tech platforms. (It’s weird, because they are using those platforms to feed their Artificial Intelligence infrastructure. At the same time, they are depriving that infrastructure of critical information. What kind of stupid Artificial Intelligence are they building?)  If I comment on somebody’s video on YouTube, and then refresh the page, my comment is gone. If you hyperlink to this site on YouTube, it will disappear and you risk being shadow-banned for good. Of course, if you never have an unacceptable position or never express a doubt, then you would never understand how Big Tech is trying to control thought and expression. You also begin to see the fusion of government, Big Tech, and the media cartel. Trudeau cancels Canadians who hold “unacceptable views that they express.” He said that without a hint of irony.

Let’s see how the prime minister and media are working together.

Trudeau claimed that he refused to meet with the truckers because they held unacceptable views. Notably, they were racist, even white supremacist. He was supported by the media that reduced the truckers to confederate flags and swastikas. You know you’re talking to somebody who never strays from the media cartel (CBC, Global News, Toronto Star, CTV, Radio Canada, etc.) when they they tell you they saw the proof of the white supremacist, racist, anti-Semitic agenda of the truckers on the news. However, those of us who know that everything that the media cartel publishes is a lie, or spun into a lie, can quickly get to the bottom of the confederate-flag business. The protesters, armed with their smartphones, confront the man who held the one confederate flag, who sticks out like a sore thumb in the crowd. His face is completely covered. He is hiding his identity. He doesn’t respond to the challenges of the protesters who are on to him; so he doesn’t reveal his voice either. He is completely anonymous. He slinks slowly away as he’s being challenged. Before long, he’s out of range. A coward. Actually, at the time, I assumed that it was Trudeau himself underneath the disguise, laying the groundwork for his subsequent press conference. If not Trudeau, it was somebody working on his behalf. So much for the confederate flag.

What about the swastikas? I did see some that were drawn on Canadian flags, next to the maple leaf. The media cartel tells us that they are proof that the protesters are Nazis. The media cartel is careful to give you the facts they decide to present and, at the same time, tell you what they mean. They tell you what to think. (It works on people who are afraid to think for themselves.) And then, their uncritical audience can insist that the freedom convoy is a Nazi organization. But, of course, those swastikas mean exactly the opposite. When I saw them along the convoy – not many swastikas, but from time to time and on Canadian flags – I simply interpreted them as drawing a parallel between lockdowns, mandated medical experiments, and vaccine passports in Canada and Nazi Germany. It’s a perfectly legitimate analogy. If you can’t see it, we’re in trouble.

So, the confederate flag was a clumsy plant by an unknown agent and the swastikas were intended to caution Canadians about the dangers of dictatorial governments imposing medical experiments and other repressive measures on citizens.

By the way, one of the key organizers of the freedom convoy is Jewish. Listen to him discount the obvious attempt by the opponents of the freedom convoy to discredit it as anti-Semitic. The organizers wisely excluded the media cartel from that press conference. So, we have arrived at two solitudes in Canada: the official, government, media version of reality and the diverse proponents of freedom.

What the government and all the architects of the Great Reset are fighting is the spirit of freedom that the convoy symbolizes. That is the phenomenon that they need to destroy to move forward. So, it’s up to us to keep it alive and well.

What is remarkable is the extent to which Canadians are awakening to the propaganda disseminated by the media cartel. Here is an extraordinary news report by Sean O’Shea of Global News. He went to cover the passage of the freedom convoy at one of the overpasses in Toronto last week. There, he found a huge crowd gathered in the Arctic cold cheering the truckers on. No one would talk to him, except to say that they didn’t trust Global News to tell the truth. They told him he was the problem. “Why are you lying?” they kept asking him. He didn’t answer. No one conferred the status of journalist on him. Instead, they asked him questions about his integrity. What was amazing is that O’Shea reported on the event as the crowd’s problem. These are misguided Canadians who don’t trust me and the media cartel that I represent to tell the truth. Canadians, it seems, have a trust problem.

We sure do.

The question remains: why did O’Shea publish that report? My guess is that Global News knows that they have already lost us and we won’t be coming back. They have decided to play hard to their remaining audience. They don’t care about our arguments or questions to Global News or other members of the media cartel. They are appealing to their base, telling them how they should understand us: as pathetic “conspiracy theorists” and unscientific buffoons. If it works, it will deepen the divide without getting any closer to the truth.

The problem is that more and more Canadians are able to listen to their hearts. We can smell fake news coming out of our devices. And we can smell the fresh, cleansing air of the truth. Listen, for instance, to some of the people that citizen journalists are interviewing on the streets of Ottawa. This woman describes how the freedom convoy has saved her from despair. She, rightly, throws the media cartel and the government into the same basket. They must go. They have no legitimacy.

The media creates perception by giving you the facts they want you to have and telling you what they mean. But Canadians are on to them. We need to keep the alternative sources of information alive and free. The media (which is increasingly us, Canadians) need to free ourselves. We are the freedom media convoy.

Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Ford have told us that they are following the science. But they are definitely not following the science – a theme I’ve been developing in other posts. But, let’s take them at their word. What they mean, and what Ford has made explicit, is that all premiers are taking orders from (unelected) public-health officials. But those people have been appointed by … the premiers, the government. There is a very convenient loop in which governments claim that they are constrained by officials whom they have appointed. If they want to continue to follow the science, all they need to do is to change the science. In other words, replace the public-health officials with others who are not doing the bidding of the pharmaceutical cartel and the World Economic Forum. And there is a legion of qualified scientists and doctors to put this thing to bed in a heartbeat.
